What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Director Emergency Department position at Northwestern Medical Center?
Northwestern Medical Center is seeking a leader with a passion for process improvement and quality to join a successful Emergency Medicine team. We focus on developing highly reliable approaches rather than defaulting to how it’s always been done. This candidate will have exceptional people skills and an ownership mentality. The position offers clinical shifts with dedicated administrative time. You would lead a team of clinicians, partner with nursing and care management as well as specialists to provide exceptional patient care.
Northwestern Medical Center is a community hospital with a newly constructed, state-of-the-art 21-bed Emergency Department with private rooms featuring a computer at each bedside, cardiac monitoring with central telemetry and six negative pressure rooms. The unit also includes a safe suite of four dedicated rooms for patients experiencing mental health crisis. Our Emergency Department treats an annual average census of approximately 24,000 visits.
