What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Director Hospitalist position at Northwestern Medical Center?
Northwestern Medical Center is seeking a leader with a passion for process improvement, quality and building a successful hospitalist team. This candidate will have exceptional people skills and an ownership mentality. The position offers clinical shifts with dedicated administrative time. You would lead a team of clinicians, partner with nursing and care management as well as specialists to provide exceptional patient care.
Northwestern Medical Center is a state-of-the-art hospital with newly constructed, private inpatient rooms and offers 24/7 care in the emergency department with strong specialty backup. NMC enjoys a close collaboration with UVM Medical Center which is our primary referral hospital located only 30 minutes away. In addition, NMC has partnered with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to provide 24/7 critical care telemedicine support for our hospitalist and nursing team. Ten rooms are integrated with their platform via audio and video connection. Our talented clinicians are the key to fulfilling our mission. We focus on optimizing the practice environment so our clinicians can feel really proud of the care they give. This is the key to engagement. Northwestern Medical Center has won several awards, including National Recognition as a Top Community Hospital, Joint Commission National Quality Awards, and National Patient Satisfaction Awards.
