NMC is currently recruiting for a full-time, Nurse Manager (RN) in the Operating Room (will have oversite of Ambulatory Surgery and Operating Room).
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager oversees daily operations of the Operating Room, Ambulatory and Endoscopy. Direct and supervise functions and activities; interprets policies, procedures, standards and regulations as appropriate. Partners with anesthesia providers and surgeons to ensure the quality and productivity of operations at Northwestern Medical Center.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. Must possess current licensure in the State of Vermont.
Experience: Minimum five years’ nursing experience in an Operating Room as a circulator and scrub role. Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience.
Special Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Time management, organization and multitasking of competing priorities.
Certifications Required: Certification in AORN, ACLS and PALS desired. Certification in BLS required.
