NMC is currently recruiting for a full-time, Respiratory Therapy Manager, to lead our highly skilled team of therapists
JOB SUMMARY :
The Respiratory Therapy Manager is responsible for the overall organization, operation, supervision and management of the Respiratory Therapy Department, and staff. This individual is additionally responsible for overseeing provision of respiratory care to all patients that range from infant to geriatric who may have any type of disease or physical limitation. The Manager demonstrates special knowledge of equipment and maintenance of the equipment as utilized in Respiratory Therapy, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular Diagnostics, Holter Monitors and EKG’s. The Manager oversees participation in performance improvement as well as other interdepartmental functions as assigned. The Manager must work closely with physicians, nurses, and all other clinical staff. The Manager conducts testing and procedures in accordance with current policy and applicable federal, state, and regulatory agencies guidelines and regulations to assure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times.
PREREQUISITES :
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of therapy with a license in the state of VT; Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of RT experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory / management experience preferred.
Special Skills : Strong clinical operational, communication and interpersonal skills; time management; organization and multitasking of competing priorities.
