NMC is currently recruiting for a Surgical Technologist in the OR. This position is a full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) position, hours are 6:30a-3p. Call rotation on evenings (5p-7p) and weekends (Sat/Sun).
- JOB SUMMARY:
- The Certified Surgical Technologist assists with providing surgical instrumentation to the surgeon during surgery, pre and post surgery under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, also the care/cleaning of equipment and room pre and post surgical.
- PREREQUISITES
- Education: LPN Graduate with interest in the operating room and/or graduate from a Surgical Technologist Program. A non-traditional route to establish qualifications may be accepted after review of education and experience.
Experience: Prior experience as an LPN or healthcare professional (i.e. surgical assistant) or one year experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Special Skills: Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to assist surgeons in the scrub role.

Certifications: BLS required.
Other: Lives within 30 minutes of hospital and is willing to take part in on-call rotation.
