We are looking for individuals who are recent college graduates looking to begin their careers with extensive support and training. You do not need to have a background in finance to get started. Because we provide award-winning training and development, we give recent grads the opportunity to take on a new challenge without previous experience in the industry. You'll receive training through NM’s National Training Program “Financial Planning Academy” and partner with industry experts until you’re ready to do it on your own.

How do you get paid?

This is a commission based career. However, we understand that it may take some time to get your practice off the ground which is why we provide “startup” compensation in the first year to help you transition into the business, and higher commissions for the first three years. With Northwestern Mutual, you control your earning potential. What you put in, is what you get out. To give you an idea, our Financial Advisors in the first year average between $90-100k and advisors 5 years in the business earn on average $624k.
