What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planning Associate position at Northwestern Mutual?
The Financial Planning Associate works with financial representatives to deliver financial security to their clients through a comprehensive planning process that integrates risk and investment products. Associates help financial representatives increase productivity by providing planning and integrated operations support.
Responsibilities:
- Generate client feed lists, automatics and cross-sell reports
- Collaborate with Home Office Financial Planning Services
- Maintain compliant electronic client files, complaint files and input factfinder data & case notes into CRM
- Manage underwriting process from start to finish (submission of application to policy in force)
- Scheduling medical exams and monitoring of the Daily Status Report (DSR) to take action on cases needing attention
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with financial representatives supported
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Active licensing or ability to obtain LAH, SIE, Series 7, and Series 63
- Previous experience in administrative role is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
- Proactive approach by anticipating business need and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Detail-oriented, team player, and adaptable
