Onboarding Specialist
Overview
The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of training and development, as well as managing the contracting, licensing, and registration of financial representatives, associate financial representatives, and field staff. This role emphasizes support for first-year financial representatives and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks with precision.
Responsibilities
Assist in Licensing Process:
o
Aid candidates in the licensing process and completion of Discovering Your Markets & Basics Kit.
o
Distribute the Pre-Basics Day letter to new financial representatives.
Coordinate Basics Day:
o
Handle logistics including room setup, lunch, technology, & scheduling facilitators.
o
Prepare all materials for facilitators and create/customize a pre-Sales School checklist.
Assist Director of Training: Provide support to the Director of Training and/or Training Manager as needed.
Contracting and Licensing Administration:
o
Use Home Office systems to administer, input, track, and follow up on contracting, licensing, or registration requirements and paperwork.
o
Manage processes for new personnel, changes to existing personnel, or terminations.
o
Facilitate and track requirements for non-resident licensing.
o
Request Blue-Sky licensing in non-resident states.
Technical Requirements Communication:
o
Provide information on the technical requirements of contracting, licensing, and registration processes to appropriate personnel.
Liaison Role:
o
Act as liaison between the Network Office and Home Office, background investigation companies, and Insurance Departments.
o
Schedule and track education and exam requirements, including continuing education for industry or Home Office courses.
Tracking and Reporting:
o
Track associated persons in appropriate systems to identify new personnel, changes, & terminations.
o
Maintain current forms utilizing Home Office Systems (LINKnet: FOND eXpress or Department pages).
Qualifications
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
One to two years of office experience required.
Two years of experience in technical knowledge of the contract, licensing, and registration process within a highly regulated industry preferred.
General insurance and investment experience preferred.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and work effectively with people at all levels.
Strong analytical and judgment skills with the ability to interpret and work within guidelines while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Ability to use diplomacy in handling difficult situations.
Proficiency in computer technology, specifically Windows and Internet.

Compensation Range
$57k - $67k contingent on related experience, licenses, and/or certifications.
