The Receptionist/Administrative Support role serves as the face of Northwestern Mutual of West Michigan, who acts as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and policy owners. This role is integral to business operations by ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of communication, in order to create an exceptional first impression and experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations by greeting and welcoming guests, answering & screening phone calls, and directing inquiries to appropriate departments
- Maintain an organized and well-presented reception area
- Record all policy documentation and initiate pouch mail
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, make copies, send faxes
- Monitor inventory of office supplies, update agency directory, and maintain reception documents
- Generate and distribute weekly reports, update monthly bulletin board
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service & organization skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office experience
- Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
- Ability to take independent action to make sound decisions
