What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruitment Coordinator Intern position at Northwestern Mutual?
Overview
This role provides support for all recruiting efforts in the Duluth District Office of Northwestern Mutual. This position involves performing functions that allow the recruiting team to efficiently attract, recruit, select and contract financial representatives. It is important to know the main functions of what an advisor does.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruiting & Selection Support
- Track and update recruitment pipeline profiles
- Source resumes, LinkedIn profiles, inside and outside leads for both full time and internship program
- Send appropriate communication to candidates for each step of the selection process
- Coordinate community events and campus career fairs
- Schedule/reschedule interviews as needed
- Prepare and present recruiting activity and tracking reports
- Provide communication to leadership team members for facilitation during the recruitment process
- Onboarding Support
- Communicate timeline and updates for candidate onboarding completion
- Assist in the candidate’s completion of all contract and licensing paperwork
- Track completion of onboarding tasks and report progress to leadership
- Coordinate details of office and materials set-up for new representatives
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work at a relatively fast pace
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
- Commitment to follow through
Hours & Compensation
This is a temporary role with the potential of a full-time opportunity. It is primarily a Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm position with flexibility. This role may require additional hours outside of the normal workday for company events, travel, campus appearances, and more. The compensation package is a combination of a base hourly wage and opportunities for bonuses.
