Summary of Position:
The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the finances, billing and budget functions of an obstetrics and gynecology office. This role involves managing budgets, data analysis, financial reporting, and billing processes. The Business Manager will ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and develop marketing strategies to attract and retain patients and work closely with the CPA. The Business Manager will handle strategic patient relations to enhance satisfaction and manage essential technology systems for the practice. History of working in a professional office environment (preferably in a physician's office gynecology/ owho is responsible for organizing patient medical costs and sending invoices to collect payments from patients and their insurers. Their main duties include calling patients to discuss payment and develop reasonable payment plans, entering patient data into administrative systems and recording information about outstanding claims.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Manage the finances and billing for the office, including billing and patient services.
- Supervise, train and support the billing staff and ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other privacy laws.
- Investigate and resolve billing errors or discrepancies, working closely with patients, insurance companies, and providers.
- Manage patient billing concerns, ensuring clear communication regarding charges, payments, and insurance coverage.
- Working with the medical team to identify and implement practice improvements.
- Managing office supplies and inventory and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Experience with medical billing and coding and a strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes.
- Proficient with insurance processes, including claims submission, follow-up, and reimbursement policies.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations to safeguard sensitive information.
- Proficiency in billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Strong analytical skills to review reports and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Sensitivity to and respect for cultural differences and diverse backgrounds.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare providers.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and while managing multiple tasks.
