Peer Recovery Support Specialist
Northwood Health Systems is growing its substance abuse recovery services. We are seeking applicants eligible for a West Virginia Peer Recovery Certification (PRSS) and a high school diploma or GED equivalency to deliver high quality peer recovery support services full time. Peer Recovery Support services are delivered by trained peers who have common life experiences with the people they are serving and can extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting into the community and home environment to support and assist individuals with staying engaged in the recovery process. Clinical supervision provided.
Qualifications:
- Personal lived experience with substance use disorder
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a background check
- Positive attitude
- Enjoy working with people in recovery
