We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a designated portfolio of 15-20 properties. The Property Accountant would be responsible for working with the Property Management team on the overall economic performance of the properties through diligent budgeting and ongoing oversight, including revenue growth, expense management and other financial goals. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, resourceful with a high degree of integrity.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze the financial statements, general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, budgets, cash flow projections and review of job cost reports for assigned assets.
- Perform daily activities such as reviewing building invoices, reviewing and posting tenant billing adjustments, reviewing and posting prepayment applications to open charges, and managing property-level cash.
- Reconcile, verify and validate all entries and postings to balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements for all assigned entities
- Responsible for financial internal controls and coordination of all financial and tax audits.
- Develop, monitor and maintain policies and procedures per general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate guidelines.
- Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
- Research and investigation of transactional level detail
- Preparation of Annual CAM recoveries
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Must have a minimum of a BS in Accounting with exposure to finance and analytical courses
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an accounting capacity
- Commercial Real Estate preferred
- Familiarity with property accounting statements/concepts (IS, BS, CF, Accrual / Cash)
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- High proficiency in Excel
- Proficient in Outlook, Word & PowerPoint
- Experience with MRI (property management software) preferred
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects
- Clear verbal, written and analytical skills
- Understand contracts, leases and leasing objectives
- The ability to work well under pressure
