Primary Responsibilities:
As a Barista, you have the opportunity to directly impact the resident experience with your friendly customer service and delicious concoctions. Creating bonds with our residents by knowing their preferences or suggesting a new drink will start the day on the right foot. The characteristics of a strong barista include a positive attitude, approachability, and ability to multi-task and passion for coffee.
As a Barista, your primary responsibilities include:
- Greet and engage residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas and other specialty drinks
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to ensure quality drinks
- Curate menu to showcase featured beverages
- Ensure that residents are satisfied with their orders and address any concerns
- Keep the barista station clean and organized, including equipment and countertops
- Make and manage drink orders for extended periods of time throughout shift
- Monitor inventory and manage stock levels or coffee, milk, syrups and supplies
What you bring to the role:
- Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with prospective and current residents.
- A customer-focused mentality and the ability to create meaningful connections.
- Operate coffee machine and blender and perform basic math and measurements
- Experience in hospitality or service industry
- Organized, detail oriented and ability to multitask
