Responsibilities:

The Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting a project team consisting of VPs, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents on a construction management project. This individual will be exposed to cost estimating, planning and scheduling, material procurement, cost control, and quality management. Duties may vary between projects and locations of internship.

Other responsibilities may include ¨ assist with drawing & document coordination. This would entail sending drawings to bidders via FedEx, keeping project documents organized, and distributing documents to all parties involved with a project

Prepare submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, bid proposals, etc.

Develop and maintain project matrices for document control. Excel spreadsheets are used to track documents, RFI’s, drawings, and change orders

Assisting field engineers in layout, form design, and subcontractor monitoring, as well as assisting in change order preparations, plan checking, document control, quality control and safety monitoring

Specific tasking is an integral component of the internship experience and consistent with the relevant needs of the assigned construction project
Qualifications

Completed at least 1 year of higher education (College or University, etc.)

Earning a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent

Microsoft office including Word and Excel

Prefer experience with Bluebeam, MS Project, On=Screen Takeoff, Procore
