Skills/Talents:

• Technical Proficiency: The candidate must possess strong technical skills in accounting, including but not limited to knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), financial statement preparation, and a strong understanding of double entry accounting principles.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy is paramount in financial accounting. The candidate should have an eye for detail and be meticulous in their work.
• Analytical Abilities: Financial accountants need to analyze data and identify trends. Proficiency in Excel is essential.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for collaborating with colleagues and presenting financial information.
• Ethical Integrity: Trustworthiness and adherence to ethical standards are non-negotiable.

Economic Engine:

• The candidate should understand the financial dynamics of the organization. This includes revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers.
• They should contribute to cost optimization, revenue growth, and financial sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records and reconcile accounts.
• Gather documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience in financial accounting
• Proficiency in Excel, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to grasp new concepts easily.
• A positive attitude and work ethic.
