Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Enrollment Welcome Center, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for prospective students and guests.
- Lead campus tour programs, ensuring student ambassadors deliver informative and engaging visits.
- Develop and execute campus visit events, and support university-wide open houses, athletic recruitment days, and personalized campus experiences.
- Train and supervise Enrollment Welcome Center staff and student ambassadors on customer service, tour presentations, and visitor engagement strategies.
- Partner with athletics staff to create engagement opportunities for prospective and current student-athletes.
- Serve as a liaison between admissions and athletics to ensure seamless enrollment processes and unmatched guest services.
- Gather feedback from campus visitors to continually improve the Enrollment Welcome Center's effectiveness.
- Provide prompt, hospitable and consistent coverage of both the Northwood University 800 number.
- Prepare student arrival packages and other logistics to ensure that prospective students and families are well informed and feel welcome
- Coordinate campus visits/tours for students/families who wish to visit campus
- Work with students/families and admissions representatives to ensure a successful start.
- Stay abreast of NU services, academic programs, and initiatives to effectively answer customer questions and guide customer to the appropriate department within the University
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding service metrics and ROI increasing activities.
- Lead and train recruitment staff on best practices for engaging with student-athletes
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must be a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal communication skills and customer service focused.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills which transcend diverse audiences.
- Must be highly motivated and solution oriented with a high degree of integrity, ethics and dedication to the mission of the university.
- Must be Microsoft Office proficient
- Working knowledge of Datatel and Slate CRM preferred
- Capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
- A high level of mental processing is involved, including the ability to evaluate prospects needs and interests
- Ability to handle high volume of incoming phone calls and make outbound calls as needed.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks
- Attention to detail for data entry into Datatel and Slate CRM.
- Professionally and positively represent the University
- Report to the Executive Director of Enrollment & Financial Aid
- Assist NU Admissions staff with administrative task overflow and various projects
- Train colleagues and NU student workers on job responsibilities to provide additional coverage
- Create a positive and welcoming environment for prospective students/families when they visit campus by effectively communicating and working with faculty and staff
