Northwood University seeks a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with faculty and staff to support learning initiatives as the Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer will contribute to the development, design, and delivery of University course offerings and assist the Center for Excellence and faculty with various course and curriculum projects.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Design and develop courses in collaboration with subject matter experts for credit, non-credit, corporate training, badging, certifications and other curriculum initiatives.Ensure alignment of learning objectives with course objectives and program outcomes across the curriculum.Ensure application of universal design across modalities and course types for development of engaging, meaningful experiences for learners.Make recommendations for assessments and activities to promote instructional excellence.Collaborate with faculty, subject matter experts, and Center for Excellence staff on recommendations for incorporation of course resources and design to engage diverse learners.Manage course design projects as assigned and complete updates of designed courses to maintain currency and relevancy.Assist in development and delivery of faculty development sessions and training.Support the Center for Excellence in providing faculty support across the University.Complete other duties as assigned.
