About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing manufacturing company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. Our company values efficiency, accuracy, and a positive attitude, and we’re looking for someone who shares these values. This role will primarily focus on administrative support and accounting tasks using QuickBooks Online. We have a modern clean climate controlled manufacturing facility just off Bunker and Hwy 65 so convenient to all areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable in QuickBooks Online.
  • Reconcile accounts, prepare invoices, and handle financial transactions. Pay the bills. Check the mail, and review as needed.
  • Maintain organized digital records and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to employees as needed - mainly timeclock adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing reports and financial summaries (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cashflow)
  • Manage and perform weekly payroll for the facility (5 employees). Our payroll is integrated with QBO.
  • Communicate with vendors and clients to address inquiries and concerns - this would be at the direction of the President (not considered a major part of the role at this time)
  • Work closely with our external accounting team to insure taxes and reports are filed accurately and on time (Fed and State taxes, payroll, etc.)
  • Manage health insurance and retirement benefit plans.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Office Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required. Proficiency in QB Time (our timeclock system).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles - what goes on the income statement and what goes on a balance sheet. Help the President with cash flow projections.

Benefits:

  • Flexible work schedule - 1 to 2 days per week of work once proficient.
  • Opportunity to work a hybrid schedule after 60 days, with 4 to 8hrs at our facility required per week.

  • This role could grow in to fulltime based on business health and workload. Our fulltime benefits package would be eligible at that point.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:

  • Quickbooks Online: 2 years (Required)
  • GAAP accounting knowledge: 2 years (Required)

  • Andover, MN 55304 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Andover, MN 55304: Relocate before starting work (Required)
