Fishing Sales Associate

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic fishing store sales associate to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for fishing and outdoor activities, combined with excellent customer service skills. As a fishing store sales associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the appropriate fishing gear, equipment, and accessories to meet their specific needs. You will provide expert advice on fishing techniques, product features, and usage, ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. Your role will involve maintaining a thorough knowledge of our product inventory, including fishing rods, reels, bait, tackle, apparel, and accessories. You will be expected to stay up-to-date on the latest fishing trends, products, and technologies, and effectively communicate their benefits to customers. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining store cleanliness, organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned anglers. You will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving complaints professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. You will collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets,, participate in promotional events, and contribute to the store's overall success. In addition to the sales responsibilities, you will assist in receiving shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and performing regular inventory counts. You will be expected to identify and report and inventory discrepancies promptly to management. The ideal candidate will have previous retail sales experience, preferably in a fishing or outdoor equipment store, however, candidates with a strong passion for fishing and the willingness to learn will also be considered. You must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the store's operational needs. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves standing for extended periods of time, lifting and moving merchandise, and performing various tasks throughout the work day.
