What are the responsibilities and job description for the NYC Investment Associate position at Northzone?
As part of Northzone’s continuous growth, we are excited to expand our investment team in New York by hiring a new Associate. We are looking for an outstanding individual with the intellect and drive to find, win over, and support the world’s best entrepreneurs.
2025 is an exciting time to join the New York team. Over the last few years, we’ve doubled the team, moved into a new office, and have more energy than ever to find and partner with the best founders in the ecosystem.
What you’ll be doing:
- Sourcing - uncovering new deals and forming relationships with entrepreneurs across multiple sectors and markets
- Diligence - supporting market, financial, and commercial DD alongside the existing investment team
- Networking - representing Northzone in the New York and broader US ecosystem, connecting with founders, investors, operators, and customers both 1-on-1 and at events
- Thesis building - developing new ideas in new markets that will lead to your sector expertise over time
- Portfolio support - working with our existing founders and their teams, increasing your exposure as you spend time with us, on strategic work in and around the portfolio

We're looking for:
- A natural networker - do you know where the best founders are? How plugged in are you to the tech world? Do you have a natural love for connecting with change-makers?
- An analytical superstar - how easily do you spot commercial trends? Are you able to derive information and decisions from very little data? How quickly can your gut decide if something is exciting or not?
- A low-ego self-starter - are you able to thrive without needing close management? Do you find yourself drawn into new areas by your own curiosity? Do you always strive for greatness while also celebrating others’ success?
- Someone at the start of their career - do you have 2-3 years experience in a high-intensity and rigorous environment such as banking/consulting/VC
- Experience in VC or high-growth tech startup is a plus
- Right to work in the US

- $100,000-120,000 base bonus
