Responsibilities
The Buyer provides for the planning, directing, controlling, and coordinating of all activities concerned with services, material and inventory procurement requirements of assigned departments or entities within Norton Healthcare. Ensures integrity of corporate MMIS item master to allow for efficient completion of product life cycle, from point of determined need, through consumption and disposal of goods. Works with Supply Chain and Contracting on identification and implementation of opportunities that provide for savings, and process improvements for the organization. Works in collaboration with Accounts Payable to ensure prompt payment of invoices, and will assist in resolving problems associated with invoices. Other responsibilities include: training employees, planning assignments, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Required:
- One year experience as a Buyer (or) Materials Management
Desired:
- High School Diploma or GED
