Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The role of the Facility Operation Tech is responsible for the General Maintenance of his or her areas throughout the Medical Center which may include limited access areas including medication rooms. Responds to daily work orders, trouble shooting of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Ceiling Tile replacement and other miscellaneous task. Participates in new project installations. Completes all required documentation according departmental procedures .Meet established response time for work orders and stat calls, and performs Preventive Maintenance Program within scheduled timeframe. Other duties from time to time may require light duty maintenance, light moving and new product installation. Must have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and have high initiative and follow through with little supervisory guidance. Must demonstrate good time management skills, and work well within a team environment. Works throughout Medical Center and outlying Properties. Primarily a standard work week positive with occasional weekend and holiday rotation. Expected to respond to emergency call in (Equipment Failure, Floods and Snow Removal etc…) Must be able to act independently and make judgments regarding service and repair of general equipment in a safe appropriate manner. Requires average degree of accuracy, errors could cause serious safety concerns for self and or hospital patients or staff.
**This role requires driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, which could include transporting patients and visitors. You must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record**
Qualifications
Required:
- One year service and maintenance of facility equipment
- Valid driver's license
