Responsibilities
The Coordinator, Pharmacy-Sterile Compounding assists the pharmacist in the medication use process, ensuring the delivery of competent and efficient pharmaceutical care and drug delivery at appropriate service levels through daily allocation and coordination of resources to assure that patient needs are effectively met. This includes, but is not limited to, performing IV admixture, maintaining pharmacy computer modules, operating as a pharmacy technician and supervising efficient workflow for pharmacy sterile products operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- One year in hospital pharmacy setting, to include sterile compounding experience
- Requires BOTH an:
- Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
