Responsibilities
This position is responsible for over seeing the day to day operations of a physician office(s) which generrally includes a minimum of 30 FTEs and 8 or more providers. The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership, management and evaluation of all office employees. Will serve as a liaison to Staff Physicians, providing feedback to the Director/System Director of Physician Services for problem solving and evaluations. The incumbent will ensure the delivery of competent and efficient patient care through appropriate coordination of practice services. Will also provide guidance in the attainment of practice goals and promote teamwork among all personnel to ensure that standards for clinical outcomes and regulatory compliance are met on an ongoing basis. The incumbent may assist in direct patient care activities, utilizing age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides staff development through coaching, counseling and initiation of the Employee Conduct and Performance program.
- Maintains ongoing review/revision of practice operations for cost effectiveness and recommends strategies for improvement as evidenced by direct observation and/or documentation.
- Ensures the orientation, ongoing training and continuous education of all employees in area of responsibility.
- Ensures that employees understand how they relate to the strategic direction of Norton Healthcare. Ensures that staff meetings are held on a regular basis, as evidenced by meeting minutes. Communicates in monthly meeting operational issues and process improvements to staff, as evidenced by documentation of meeting minutes.
- Ensures ongoing allocation of staff, as evidenced by interviewing, hiring, evaluating performance and coaching for all staff positions.
Qualifications
Required:
- With an Associate Degree: Three years supervisory experience or one year's supervisory plus completion of the admin fellowship program
- Without an Associate Degree: Five years supervisory experience or three years supervisory plus completion of the admin fellowship program
