Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
The Centralized Scheduler schedules all outpatient diagnostic testing, interventional radiology procedures and cath lab procedures for all adult Norton Healthcare facilities. The Centralized Scheduler also schedules all outpatient diagnostic testing, interventional radiology procedures and sedation for testing as needed for all pediatric Norton Healthcare facilities. The Centralized Scheduler instructs doctor’s office and/or patients regarding pre-procedure clinical preparations, as required, and obtains demographic and insurance coverage information.The Centralized Scheduler will handle a large volume of requests to schedule appointments via incoming phone calls and an Epic work queue. The Centralized Scheduler is many times the first point of contact and must possess strong telephone communication and computer skills, problem-solving abilities, and demonstrates the highest level of customer service for all patients, providers, and other team members.

Required:
- One year scheduling tests and procedures in a hospital or physician office setting
- Understanding of medical terminology, knowledge of clinical procedures and ICD-10 codes
