Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: The Senior Research Scientist for NNI as a member of the NNI research team will help outline and facilitate implementation of the research agenda of the Institute. This senior position establishes and maintains research collaborations with academic partners, Foundations, federal agencies etc. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: guiding strategic decision-making on the investment of NHC resources to support Institute research efforts, priority areas for Institute research, developing and submitting competitive grant and contract proposals to support Institute research ideas/concepts, implementing extramurally supported studies; working collaboratively to build the Institute’s research infrastructure, providing research oversight and direction to the execution of research at the Institute, and developing research partnerships across NHC.
Qualifications
Required:
5 years of health-focused research experience, which should include federally supported (NIH) funding and research implementation. Research portfolio should include an extensive focus on neurology, neurosurgery
Doctorate Degree
Desired:
5 years of funded research by federal agencies (NIH, DoD)
