Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor takes a lighter work assignment on the shift along with supervising the staff. The Supervisor acts in a clinical leadership role, supervises the provision of Respiratory Care by the staff and is responsible for scheduling, assessing education and competency of staff and evaluating job performance. The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor plans, assigns, and coordinates delivery of Respiratory Care while demonstrating professional development/clinical competencies and applies knowledge of growth and development for patients aged neonate/infant through geriatric.
Qualifications
Required:
- One year in respiratory care
- Associate Degree
- Respiratory Therapist (State)
- One of: ACCS or NPS Within 12 months of hire.
Desired:
- One year in respiratory in a critical care setting
- Adult Critical Care Specialty OR Neonatal Pediatric Specialist
