Responsibilities
The System Security Trainer will be responsible for the creation and implementation of training programs (both departmental and systemwide) and specific duties and responsibilities in security and safety to provide a safe environment for employees, patients, and guests. Assists the department senior leader with planning, implementation, and evaluation of segments of system wide emergency preparedness program. Provides direction, guidance, and instructions to hospital and medical group leaders, security leaders and officers, and others as appropriate to training. Primary Administrator for access control, video management, emergency call system, panic alarms, and incident reporting. Plans and coordinates hospital security drills. Assists in monitoring compliance with Norton Healthcare policies, standard operating procedures, as well as accreditation and regulatory agency statutes / procedures which pertain to security.
Qualifications
Required:
- With Bachelors: Three years as a training instructor in security, law enforcement or military
- With Associates: Five years as a training instructor in security, law enforcement or military
- Without degree: Seven years as a training instructor in security, law enforcement or military
- Bachelor Degree See Experience Equivalency
- Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor Officer - Within 1 year of hire
Desired:
- With Bachelors: Five years of direct supervision or program management; With Associates: Seven years of direct supervision or program management; Without degree: Nine years of direct supervision or program management
- Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator OR Certified Protection Professional OR TASER
