Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Specialty : RN Telemetry

Job Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Guaranteed Hours : Not Specified

Experience : Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, NIH

Must-Have :

Experience with IV insertion, blood draws, PICC / Central Line management
Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG
Experience in reading tele strips

Job Description :

Provide patient care on Medical Surgical and Progressive Care units

Work every other weekend, shift 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM

Handle a mix of patient acuity with a patient ratio of 4 / 1 or 5 / 1 depending on acuity

Administer daily medications, including blood pressure medications, antibiotics, and anticoagulants like Lovenox

Manage trach care, feeding tubes, epidural / PCA pumps, bladder irrigation, and wound vacs as needed

Use common equipment such as Dynamap, accu-check machine, bladder scanner, and EKG machine

Titrate specific medications like heparin when protocol is in place

Document patient information using EPIC charting system

Collaborate with friendly peers and utilize available resources

Wear Galaxy blue scrubs (not provided)

Note : The job position does not require epidural pump management or specific procedural area experience. Leadership support available as needed.
