- Shift: 6pm-6:30am, every other weekend
- Common Diagnoses/Procedures: CHF, Chest Pain, Cellulitis, Post-Op Care, Diabetes, Sepsis, Step-Down from ICU, Fractures, Abdominal Pain
- Common Equipment Used: Telemetry
- Common Medications Given: Insulin, Heparin, Basic Med-Surg Medications
- MEDITECH Charting
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Required Skills: IV Insertion, Blood Draws, PICC/Central Line Management, CPAP/BiPAP, Tracheostomy Care, Peritoneal Dialysis, Traction, Feeding Tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Wound Vacuum
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience
- Education: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN), BLS, ACLS, NIH
Schedule Information
- Shift: 6pm-6:30am, every other weekend
Unit Specific Information
- RNs must be able to read telemetry strips
- RNs must be able to titrate heparin medication
Additional Requirements
- Current BLS certification from an acceptable agency
- Nursys Report (prefer compact nursing license)
- Current state or compact nursing license and primary source verification completed prior to start
- Covid vaccine required; provide vaccination card with application
- Documentation of 2 MMRs at least 28 days apart and/or positive laboratory titer
- Annual flu vaccine status required
- 2 Negative TB skin tests within 90 and 365 days of start date
- Documentation of 2 varicella doses 4 weeks apart and/or positive laboratory titer
- Physical Capacity assessment completed by a licensed healthcare provider
- Include full work history and references from previous managers
- Standard 10-panel drug screen completed within 12 months prior to start and annually thereafter
- Background check and education verification completed as part of the hiring process
- E-Verify and I-9 documentation completed prior to start
- Workplace Safety Module completed prior to start and annually
- Facility Form completed prior to start
- Registry check for specified settings updated every 3 years
