Pediatric Radiology Career Opportunities

Norton Childrens Radiology , affiliated with the UofL School of M edicine, and a part of Norton Childrens Medical Group, is recruiting for additional pediatric radiologists across multiple subspecialties. The practice currently includes 10 fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists with training in various subspecialties, as well as a registered radiologist assistant, specialized nurses and radiology technicians.
The newly renovated radiology space at Norton Childrens Hospital features advanced imaging technology :
- Two MRIs and one 3 tesla (3T) MRI machine x Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scanner
- Two 256-slice CT scanners x Biplane interventional suite
- FerriScan for liver or cardiac iron quantification x Fluoroscopy equipment
- Advanced cardiac imaging (CT and MRI) to help diagnose and evaluate children and adults with congenital heart disease
- Ultrasound elastography to evaluate for chronic liver conditions
- Digital X-ray technology that use minimal radiation compared with older machines
- Practice located in the newly renovated radiology department at Norton Childrens Hospital
- Work alongside a clinical team with varied interests, providing opportunities to nurture and develop career pathways through clinical specialization and leadership opportunities
- Numerous research, teaching and quality improvement opportunities through our partnership with the University of Louisville School of Medicine and its Department of Radiology
- Opportunity for an experienced, innovative and board-certified neuroradiologist to grow professionally as clinical team leader and research leader as part of a growing epilepsy surgery program
- Pair clinical care interests with advanced research opportunities reflecting candidates interests
- Home access to picture archiving and communications system (PACS) available
