What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician II - Day Shelter $40k Bonus position at Norton Sound Health?
Purpose of Position :
Provide substance use treatment services for ASAM Levels 1.0, 2.1, and 2.5 clients and co-occurring / non co-occurring mental health treatment services as medically necessary within the Norton Sound Health Corporation's Behavioral Health Services Day Shelter and intinerant village. Service deliveries include individual and group.

Essential Functions :
- In collaboration with Day Shelter staff and Day Shelter Clinical Associate, provide a safe, healthy, and educational environment to encouage and support wellness within our Day Shelter guests; and provide itinerant behavioral health services to designated village
- Provide and document comprehensive and individual assessments identifying client problems and needs with appropriate interventions to achieve desirable outcomes and gather data to demonstrate the utilization of the clinical process to promote client outcomes
- Arrange clinical services, make referrals to appropriate providers, assist in treatment compliance and coordinate with human service agencies
- Serve as an advocate for clients / families, physicians, and other staff members, facilitating client / family learning throughout the clinical experience, reinforcing continued healthcare through teaching and / or referral
- Collaborate with clients, Case Managers, and outside agencies / individuals to develop and secure resources supporting client progress, including vocational rehabilitation, medical services, housing authorities, and other needs
- Work with regional agencies to promote NSHC's Behavioral Health Services and work to achieve and integrate NSHC goals with the expectations of federal and state governments
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to offer service provision between the possible hours of 0800 and 2000 daily to support group and individual service structures; provide on-call services on a rotational basis
- Maintain quality and efficiency standards and make recommendations to supervisor for improvements as needed
- Participate in activities that promote professional growth and self-development, attend pertinent in-services, departmental and other meetings as requested
