Norton Sound Regional Hospital is seeking an Advanced EMT/Paramedic to join its team. This is a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a remote Alaskan town.
The ideal candidate will be fully credentialed with AHA BLS minimum and possess excellent communication skills. They will also be culturally sensitive and respectful, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
The ground ambulance service is staffed by a crew consisting of an EMT I driver and an advanced EMT/paramedic attendant. The call volume averages 400 BLS calls per year, with response times and transport times less than 10 minutes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced life support services to patients
- Working collaboratively with the EMT I driver to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
Norton Sound Regional Hospital offers shared housing to employees, but does not allow pets or children. All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID vaccinations, including booster shots, as well as flu vaccines. Exemptions will not be accepted.
