Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar operates smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the food and beverage industry and are eager to learn about bar operations while providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks efficiently during peak hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Stock and replenish supplies, such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice, to ensure the bar is always ready for service.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately for transactions when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service during busy shifts.
• Support with food handling and delivery of orders from the kitchen to the bar area as needed.
• Assist in setting up for special events or banquets, ensuring all supplies are ready for service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial for maintaining health standards.
• Willingness to learn about bartending techniques and drink preparation methods.
