What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Library Adult Programmer position at Norwalk Public Library?
Norwalk Public Library is seeking a new team member to coin our circulation staff. Alongside circulation this position will assist Adult Programming and Outreach Services.
REQUIRED:
- Resume and cover letter, EOE
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Event planning experience
Must have an interest/knowledge in current literature, pop culture, and media. Familiarity with the CLEVNET library system a plus.
This position will help maintain current programming such as tech tutors, adult crafts, and book clubs; may assist in developing new programs and initiatives for this age demographic and assist with homebound /outreach. This position requires considerable contact with the public and strong computer skills. Other duties include working our circulation desk.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
