Position Summary
The Digital Transformation Director will focus on leading the district's AI and digital education initiatives under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent of Digital Learning and Innovation. This position will create and implement a strategic vision for the NPS Portrait of a Graduate and AI in education and will ensure that these digital resources are aligned with the district's Library Media Services. Additionally, the Director will offer leadership in professional development and advocate for the integration of innovative technology tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Drive the creation of a strategic vision for AI in education while aligning it to the NPS Portrait of a Graduate
- Collaborate with school leaders to integrate AI into pedagogical practices.
- Oversee Library Media Services and ensure they are aligned with AI initiatives.
- Lead professional development sessions focusing on the integration of digital tools and AI into teaching.
- Develop partnerships with technology providers to implement innovative educational tools.
- Support teachers in using AI to promote student engagement and learning.
- Lead our Digital Promise Initiative and other educational technology partnerships
- Supervision of the Future Ready Program Virtual Academy (2026-27)
- Master’s Degree or relevant experience in technology administration focusing on AI and digital learning.
- CT Administrator Certification (092).
- CT Teaching Certification as a Library Media Specialist or in a similar technology-focused role.
- Advanced degree in Instructional Technology or a related field with a focus on AI.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and technology implementation in education.
- Knowledge of data-driven decision-making using AI and instructional tools.
