Job Description :
The Lead Mental Health Practitioner oversees and coordinates various aspects of clinical operations within the mental health care setting. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage a team of mental health professionals. The individual in this position plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services to clients while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities :
- Annual Evaluation Coordination (Approx. 1 hour / week) :
Coordinate and conduct annual evaluations for team members (MHP / MHRWs).
Ensure evaluations are completed in a timely manner and properly documented.Provide feedback and support to team members as needed.Schedule Clinical Charting for Team (Approx. 3 hours / week) :Organize and schedule clinical charting activities for the team.
Ensure adherence to charting deadlines and regulatory requirements.Review and provide guidance on clinical documentation as necessary.Check Progress Notes (Approx. 6-7 hours / week) :Review progress notes submitted by team members under the guidance of clinical supervisor and director.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with documentation standards.Provide feedback and guidance to improve documentation practices.Training and Support (Approx. 4 hours / weeks) :Conduct shadowing sessions once or twice a month for Mental Health Rehab Workers (MHRWs).
Provide ongoing training and support to enhance team members" skills and knowledge.Offer guidance on best practices and evidence-based interventions.Limited Case Load (Approx. 20 hours / weeks) : (Could be replaced with higher level Clinical work)Manage a limited case load of approximately 20 hours per week.
Provide direct clinical services to clients, including assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery.For more information, refer back to ARMHS worker JD.Supervision (Approx. 0.5 hour / weeks) :Attend supervision meetings and participate in clinical team discussions regarding clients and services
Receive clinical guidance, support, and feedback to promote professional growth.Orientation and Onboarding (Approx. 2 hour / week) :Collaborate with the appropriate department to facilitate comprehensive orientation and onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring adherence to state regulations.
Provide shadowing support to new hires to facilitate their integration into the team effectively.Patient Care (Approx. 2 hours / week) :Perform random checks on patients within each service group with the help of the interpreter.
Collect direct feedback from patients to enhance the quality of care provided based on patient's input and feedback.Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications : High School Diploma and one of the following qualifications :Associate of Arts degree.
Two years of full-time postsecondary education or a total of 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields.Registered nurse.Three years of personal life experience with mental illness within the previous ten years.Three years of life experience as a primary caregiver to an adult with a mental illness, traumatic brain injury, substance use disorder, or developmental disability within the previous ten years.OR have, within the previous ten years, 2,000 hours of work experience providing health and human services to individuals.Bachelor's degree with behavioral sciences coursework is preferred.Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with clients.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must be able to pass a background check.Valid driver"s license and reliable transportation with vehicle insurance.Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client schedules.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Estimated Salary :
25-$28 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.

Hours :
Job Type : Full-time. Flexible hours between 7 am and 8 pm, depending on patient availability. Schedules are 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility. Required availability : Tuesdays 9 am to noon; and during set supervision times and availability for orientation and training for new staff.
