What are the responsibilities and job description for the People Excellence Financial Analyst position at Norwegian Cruise Line?
JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for maintaining and monitoring proper budgeted headcount for Corporate and Shipboard. Assists with monthly forecasting, reporting and variance analysis as well as annual budgeting process. Prepares financial analysis models for potential changes and business initiatives that are requested.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist with Corporate and Shipboard budget and forecasting processes. Liaise with Finance to ensure budgeted salary and benefits (S&B) is in line with current and future workforce plans.
- Assist with monthly accruals; identify and research any variances.
- Calculate and remit monthly union contributions for shipboard team members.
- Assist with managing corporate and shipboard headcount, evaluate position requests and maintain budget data up to date.
- Maintain Hyperion systems up to date.
- Assist with yearly salary and union contribution budget increases in Hyperion.
- Review contractor and temporary resource requests. Ensuring we have proper SOW, budget, and business justification in place. Communicate with department leaders whenever necessary to attain additional approvals.
- Identify budget / forecasting process improvements by partnering with IT, People Excellence, and other business leaders. Make recommendations to enhance current reporting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Partner within People Excellence to ensure HRIS system captures proper budgeted headcount.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure both financial and HRIS systems reflect accurate data as it relates to corporate and shipboard budget.
- Design and prepare financial analysis models for potential changes.
- Work with management to create financial templates that can be used for People Excellence budget processes.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE : Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY : Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study.
