Name of Position: BILINGUAL CHILD AND FAMILY WELLNESS COORDINATOR
35 HOURS PER WEEK, FULL YEAR
$25.00- $27.50 per hour depending on experience and education
BILINGUAL SPANISH/ENGLISH REQUIRED
Job Overview
We are a fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for planning and administering mental health services for children, families, and staff.
- Travel throughout catchment area on a regular basis to visit sites and provide technical assistance and coaching to site staff.
- Ability to relate to families from a variety of racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Maintain recordkeeping and reporting systems, including service area plan, schedules, timelines, policies and procedures for mental health services in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and applicable laws and regulations.
- Observe children to assess social-emotional and behavioral needs of children.
- Coordinate services and maintain relationships with mental health consultants.
Minimum Education Level
Bachelor's in psychology or social work or related field
Preferred Education Level
Master’s in psychology or social work or related field
Experience
2 years of direct experience with at-risk population, children birth to 5 and their families
Personal characteristics: Empathetic, Passionate, Relatable
Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds
