Job Overview

Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise and care for children in the classroom to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, federal and state regulation, and licensing requirements.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom.
- Maintain recordkeeping and reporting systems to ensure accurate information, with timely completion and follow-up.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Education Level
Associates, or higher, in early childhood education, social work, or related field
Experience
Some experience preferred
Preferred Experience
2 years of direct experience with at-risk population
Personal characteristics: Self-motivated, compassionate, flexible, Inclusive, reliable
Certifications: Infant/Toddler CDA
Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds
