NAME OF POSITION: NEWTON HEALTH AND NUTRITION SPECIALIST
30 HOURS PER WEEK, FULL YEAR
Job Overview
We are a fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in completion of health, dental, mental health and nutrition screenings within required timeline.
- Ensure parents have the necessary support to complete required immunizations and other medical and dental follow-ups with documentation of progress.
- Maintain first aid and pediatric CPR certification and provide first aid when necessary.
- Promote health and safety practices within the program by observing health and hygiene practices in classrooms and recommending corrective action, when needed.
Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma
Preferred Education Level
Associate’s or higher in nursing or related field
Experience
1 year health/nutrition experience
Preferred Experience
2 years health and nutrition experience/ NHSA Health Service Certification (we will pay for)

Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds
