What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Associate position at Norwich Housing Authority?
This position involves responsible clerical, accounting and administrative work involving word processing, reception, collections, scheduling and the performance of varied office duties. Duties include entering work orders, reports and correspondence, receiving and directing visitors, answering phones, maintenance of files and records, and collection and recording of rents and other revenues. Responsible for application intake, including checking applications for completeness, the work requires considerable knowledge, skill and ability in all aspects of secretarial and office procedures, Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook. Must have and maintain a valid State of Connecticut driver’s license. Possession of a High School Degree or GED. One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in property management or general office work, preferably with local government/public housing. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Hourly pay rate of $22.00 to $23.00 for a 35-hour workweek with benefits. Must reside in the State of Connecticut and live within twenty-five (25) miles of the Authority’s main office, which is located at 10 Westwood Park, Norwich, CT.
