Contract Landman

Norwood Land Services is seeking a Landman with Title, Curative & Leasing experience. Applicants must have 3 years verifiable experience. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and detail oriented while working in a competitive and fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·        Building runsheets

·        Ability to examine and interpret complicated Mineral and Leasehold Title

·        Create formatted ownership reports showing MI/WI/NRI (formulas and calculations)

·        Identify title defects

·        Negotiate OGL Leases with sophisticated mineral owners

·        Full understanding of modern lease language (lease analyst)

·        Some travel will be required

Job Qualifications

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Energy Management, Land Management or Energy Commerce, but not required)

·        3 Years Experience – Permian and/or Delaware Basin preferred

·        AAPL Membership

·        Title must be in a 50-mile radius of Midland, TX

Skills

·        Ability to utilize and navigate all relevant online resources

·        Excellent written and verbal communication

·        Proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat

·        Management of personnel resources

·        Meet deadlines and fulfill obligations

Compensation

·        Competitive day rate based on experience and work product
