At Norwood Land Services, LLC, we are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Specialist with a proven track record in leasing and title analysis. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the industry and be proficient in negotiating oil and gas leases with mineral owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and negotiate oil and gas leases with sophisticated mineral owners
- BUILDING AND MAINTAINING LEASEHOLD TRACKING SPREADSHEETS
- Analyze and interpret complicated mineral and leasehold titles
- Understand modern lease language and identify gaps in title to determine current ownership
- Travel will be required for this position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Land Management, or Energy Commerce (or related field)
- At least 2 years of experience in the Permian and/or Delaware Basin (preferred)
- AAPL membership
- Residence must be within a 50-mile radius of Carlsbad, NM; Hobbs, NM; Seminole, TX; or Andrews, TX
Skills:
- Ability to navigate online resources and utilize relevant software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Management of personnel resources and meeting deadlines
