Job Description:
Norwood Land Services is seeking an experienced Landman with extensive Leasing experience.
To be considered, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable experience in the field.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and negotiate Oil & Gas Leases with sophisticated mineral owners.
- Build and maintain leasehold tracking spreadsheets.
- Examine and interpret complex Mineral and Leasehold Titles.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of modern lease language (lease analyst).
- Cure gaps in title to find current ownership.
- Travel will be required.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Land Management, or Energy Commerce (not required).
- Minimum 2 Years Experience - Permian and/or Delaware Basin preferred.
- AAPL Membership.
- Residence must be within a 50-mile radius of Carlsbad, NM, Hobbs, NM, Seminole, TX, or Andrews, TX.
Skills:
- Utilize and navigate relevant online resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Effective management of personnel resources.
- Meticulous attention to meeting deadlines and fulfilling obligations.
Compensation:
A competitive day rate based on experience and work product will be offered.
Experience and Education:
- Landman: 2 years minimum (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Location and Travel:
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Carlsbad, NM, Hobbs, NM, Seminole, TX, or Andrews, TX.
- Travel will be required.
