What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Appliance Technician position at Norwood's Commercial Appliances, Inc?
Looking for a commercial appliance repair technician. We can train the right person.
This is for a full time position, with opportunity for paid overtime. Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and repairing major commercial appliances, such as walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, ovens and ranges, hood systems, and other restaurant equipment.
Accurately and completely documenting the work done, including time, equipment, and description of repair, and turning in paperwork in a timely fashion.
Presenting a professional appearance and attitude.
Providing outstanding customer service, including clear communication about the repair.
Working closely with other employees to ensure the customer receives the best possible service.
Must be willing to rotate on call shifts for after hours calls.
Able to travel to training classes.
Valid NC driver's license required.
HVAC Universal Refrigeration Certification, experience working on gas, steam, and electric commercial appliances and refrigeration systems and/or CFESA certification a bonus.
We will train the right candidate, with CFESA training classes, manufacturer training classes, and on-the-job training

We are a small, locally owned business that has been serving the NC High Country since 1981. We sell, service, and install hood systems, refrigeration equipment, and all gas, steam, electric, and electronic appliances in the commercial kitchen.
