About Us:
Notes for Notes® (N4N) mission is to provide youth with free access to musical instruments, instruction, and recording studio environments so that music becomes a positive influence in their lives.
N4N is a national nonprofit organization that provides safe, high-quality spaces for youth to explore, create and record music for free. N4N partners with Boys & Girls Clubs, community centers, and school districts to design, equip, and staff Studios inside their facilities as well as run a variety of Digital programs. Our Studios are packed with guitars, drums, keys/synths, DJ turntables, computer workstations with music creation software, and full recording capabilities. The Role:
As our Youth Studio Producer, you'll be the heartbeat of our studio operations. From coaching budding musicians to running dynamic digital programs, you'll inspire creativity and personal growth in our young talents. Whether it's jam sessions, music theory workshops, or mastering Pro Tools sessions, your role is to make music education fun, accessible, and transformative.
What You'll Do:
- Lead daily studio operations with passion and precision
- Mentor and supervise youth members, fostering positive relationships
- Design and implement engaging music programs both in-person and online
- Maintain studio equipment and ensure a creative, welcoming environment
- Collaborate with volunteers and community partners to expand our impact
- Capture and share studio moments through social media to inspire others
- Organize schedules, track progress, and manage administrative tasks with finesse
- Hours: 12:00 - 7:00 PM, approximately 25-36 hours per week
Who You Are:
- A musical virtuoso with skills in guitar, drums, keys, DJing, or production
- Experienced in studio production (Pro Tools, Ableton, or StudioOne)
- A natural mentor who can teach and inspire youth of diverse backgrounds
- Organized, punctual, and ready to bring positive energy to every session
- Excited about community outreach and building meaningful connections
- Bonus: Skills in fundraising, graphic design, or marketing are a plus!
