Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Operations Manager to support eight bakery managers across the Kansas City metro area at a growing franchisee in an exciting, joy-filled brand. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and driving sales growth. The Operations Manager will provide guidance, training, and strategic support while upholding brand standards and fostering a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to bakery managers to enhance operational efficiency and overall business performance. Clear understanding that this role is to support the bakery managers, not manage the bakeries.
- Collaborate with bakery managers to develop and implement standardized operating procedures to drive sales growth and optimize cost management across all locations.
- Serve as the go-to expert on operational brand standards, staying informed on operational changes and policies.
- Assist in tracking P&Ls and analyzing KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and providing strategic support.
- Drive training and development initiatives, including assisting in the creation of training processes and operational handbooks. Assist with hiring and onboarding of key bakery team members.
- Serve as a backup manager in the event a bakery manager takes leave or vacation.
- Assist with planning and execution of off-site events as needed.
- Address guest escalations and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Act as the first point of contact for maintenance issues at bakeries locations, coordinating communication and resolution efforts to ensure efficient, cost-effective solutions with minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications:
- 5 years of management experience in retail, food service, or hospitality industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze financial and operational data to drive decision-making.
- Experience in staff training, performance management, and team development.
- Ability to coach and develop operational goals.
- Highly organized, with integrity and strong team-building skills.
- Ability to travel between bakery locations. Expectation is 3-4 days per week will be spent in bakeries.
- Knowledge of food safety, labor laws, and industry best practices preferred.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards.
- This role requires completion of a three-and-a-half-week training program in Dallas in April 2025.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary of $65,000-75,000 (based on experience) plus a bonus target of ~15% of base annual salary based on bakery performance
