Senior Fabrication Technician-1st Shift

Knowledge and Skills- (Requirements)

• Knowledge of general tools and assembly techniques.
• 7 years experience working with metal manufacturing, OEM experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Intermediate electrical assembly knowledge.
• Previous experience with PLC
• Demonstrated ability to lead team through workflow changes
• The ability to see details and envision how the product will look when completed.
• Strong mathematical skills to help solve problems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to relay important information.
• Must have interpersonal skills and be able to work with a team as well as be able to work individually.
• Experience leading safety initiatives in team environment in a manufacturing setting.

Job Duties:

• Work in a team environment to complete the assembly process of large-scale machinery.
• Layout, fit, and attach/assemble parts and components for specialized stainless equipment.
• Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating parts.
• Assemble parts using prints and schematics.
• Standard schedule of Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, with overtime often required.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to work on concrete flooring in a manufacturing setting for 8-10 hour shifts.

• Ability to work in, around, and beneath equipment.

• Work a standard schedule of Monday - Friday with OT on Saturday sometimes required..

• Able to lift, bend, and carry up to 75 lbs on a routine basis.

• All associates may be required to work on Saturday or Sunday to meet customer requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. Ability to regularly walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials. Ability to work for 8 hours or longer on hard surface concrete floors, and to wear all required PPE including safety footwear at all times.
